Non-school education and pedagogical mediation. A journey with the use of ICT at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of the computer tool designed and implemented at the Michoacana University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo for the application of non-school education called the Nicolaita Virtual University System (SUVIN), in relation to the incorporation of google classroom from the intensification of the use of platforms derived from the COVID 19 Pandemic, which were institutionally instrumented for communicative support: teachers-students and for the development of content in the academic trajectories. The objective outlined was focused on knowing the opinion of the entire universe made up of 84 students from the first semester of the Open System of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences regarding the interaction between teacher-student-didactic material as pedagogical mediation, level of inclusion for the use of the internet, image of platforms, ease of access to content and entry for individual and collaborative work, navigation and preferences. An exploratory study that made it possible to collect information through the application of a questionnaire, from a totally random simple random sample, which allowed an investigation to be carried out on certain properties of a data set, in which the quality of the sample is representative by showing adequately the characteristics of the investigated population. The results showed the need for instructional designs that favor learning processes, as well as the preference for the use of the SUVIN platform with respect to google clasrrom to carry out the training processes.
